The Williamson County Conservation Foundation (WCCF) was established in December 2002 as a pro-active measure to comply with the Endangered Species Act while helping to further responsible development in Williamson County. This growth has necessitated a regional approach to balancing the needs for development with the needs for conservation.
Williamson County Mental Health Task Force

Williamson County’s unique approach for the ever growing mental health issue is proactive in addressing the need to provide appropriate care to patients while effectively using taxpayer dollars.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is a collaborative effort between Williamson County and the cities of Round Rock, Cedar Park, Hutto, and Leander. The shelter objectives are to increase pet adoptions and lost pet reclaims; emphasize humane care for lost, unwanted or displaced pets; assist animal control public safety efforts by providing a secure area for dangerous animals and a safe haven for strays; and reduce the costs to each participating entity through a shared regional facility.
